Disappointingly, the APBTA Inc. request that the Chairperson of the Select Committee hearing submissions on this bill justifies persisting with breed specific legislation in light of the Dutch Government's decision to end their Pit Bull ban, has been ignored.

NZPA and SCOOP press releases advising of this request were not picked up.

Also ignored was the email sent to every member of the select committee (aside from Mark Blumskey and David Benson-Pope whose emails bounced back) advising them of the Dutch Government's decision.

Two weeks is long enough for acknowledgement of receipt at least.

The latest intelligence is that the findings of the select committee will be made public some time in August.
